Russian Christmas is celebrated according to old Julian calendar - basically it's also December 25th, but when the world moved to Gregorian calender and western countries moved their Christmas to the new December 25th, Russian Orthodox church still celebrates it on the same date, which falls on January 7th according to new calender. Hope it's not too confusing;-)
