Homemade Herbal Intimate Wash Recipe - How to Make DIY Natural Feminine Hygiene Soap.

I've done QUITE an extensive research trying to find what is actually THE BEST option for feminine wash. While there is a ton of products out there, their ingredients don't seem to be safe enough even for my body, let alone for intimate hygiene! So, yet again, I had to come up with my own all-natural herbal solution, which takes me less than a minute to prepare;-)))*

*This post is not intended to replace medical advice - I'm simply sharing what I personally use. Please contact a physician if you are experiencing any discomfort.
WHAT I USE:
  • 1/3 cup Unscented Castile Liquid Soap - I use Dr. Bronner's baby mild one - it has pH level that is perfect for intimate hygiene products (well it's higher than necessary, but distilled water lowers it to the needed level)
  • 2/3 cup  Distilled Water - I use it because Castile soap needs to be diluted
  • one drop of Chamomile Essential Oil*** - has antibiotic properties and doesn't let biotic (due to bacteria, fungi, etc.) infections to develop (source)
***Essential oils are very highly concentrated plant material, therefore I only use 1-2 drops per one cup of wash. Women who are pregnant or nursing should exercise caution when using essential oils. You should apply small tests to the skin, because essential oils can cause allergic reactions.

HOW I MAKE IT:

I simply combine soap, water and essential oil in a bottle, and then store it in the shower. I try to be very careful when I use it, because it is much more liquid that usual Castile soap. And that's it! I told you it was gonna take less than a minute;-)))

    2. Don't forget to add lactic acid, so it is pH balanced. You really shouldn't be putting ANYTHING down there that is not pH balanced for this area. It is more acidic, than alkaline, and using an alkaline soap will allow unfriendly bacteria to grow...you really don't want that.

  16. Everyone is saying to add acid, well what if you added a little bit of Apple Cider Vinegar, would that help, or be too much?
