INGREDIENTS: (makes 8 large "eggs")
- 2 cups Baking Soda
- 2 cups Cocoa Powder (unsweetened)
- 1 cup Dry Milk / Milk Powder
- 2.5 tbsp Cocoa Butter Cream
- 1/3 cup Citric Acid - the cheapest is to buy in bulk, I got 5lb for $18.81 here, which is a great deal, especially since I also use it in Homemade Sea Salt Feet Scrub and DIY tea tree toner tablets for facial sauna
- 4 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Egg Molds
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix
together all the dry ingredients - baking soda, cocoa powder, dry milk and citric acid. Then put cocoa butter cream in a small pan. Take a frying pan, pour some water in it, put it on the stove on medium heat and then place your pan with cream into the frying pan so that the cream melts and becomes liquid. Once it’s melted, pour it into your bowl with dry ingredients, add vanilla extract and mix very well together. Then take a spray bottle, fill it with some water and spritz your mixture to make it slightly moist, but make sure not to add too much water to it, because your mixture can fizz away and your bombs will not be "exploding". Then put into egg molds and leave overnight. The next day you can pop out your chocolate egg-bath bombs and put them into basket;-)))
CHOCOLATE BUNNY BUBBLE BARS:
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/4 cup Baking Soda
- 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 cup Cocoa Butter Cream
- 3/4 cups SLSA (Sodium lauryl sulfoacetate)
- I got 1lb for $8.00 here on Ebay.
- 1/2 cup Cream of Tartar - I got 1lb for $9.75 here on Ebay.
- 3 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Bunny Cookie Cutter
INSTRUCTIONS:
Don't forget to use mask and gloves while making the bars, because you don't want to inhale all the dust from dry ingredients or have them dry out your hands
Mix
together all the dry ingredients - baking soda, cocoa powder, SLSA and cream of tartar. Then put cocoa butter cream in a small pan. Take a frying pan,
pour some water in it, put it on the stove on medium heat and place your
pan with cream into the frying pan so that the cream melts
and becomes liquid. Once it’s melted, pour it into your bowl with dry
ingredients, add vanilla extract and mix very well together. Your "dough" will be very moist while the cocoa butter cream is warm, but as it cools down, it will slightly harden in a few minutes. Use your cookie cutters to give the right shape to your bars, then let sit for a few days to become completely dry. Don't forget to use mask and gloves while making the bars, because you don't want to inhale all the dust from dry ingredients or have them dry out your hands
I've made my other bombs and bubble bars according to the original recipes:
Bath bombs recipe is here, Bubble bars - here.
I hope you guys are enjoying your Easter preparation;-)))
